Wood-Mizer offers reasonable rates and flexible service plans to owners of new and used sawmills. Our network of locations makes service calls even more convenient for the customer. (All terms and offers are subject to change without notice.)
Question: What is the charge for sawmill field service calls?
Answer: The charge for sawmill field service calls within 50 miles of our route is $125, with a $58 hourly labor rate or $68 on industrial products. Different rates apply to California.
If the distance is greater than 50 miles one way, the customer will be charged $2 for each extra mile.
Used Sawmill Service
Question: What are the service options for used mills?
Answer: Wood-Mizer recognizes that many mill customers are purchasing our sawmills used. We welcome all new customers, and would like to ensure they are all properly trained. Wood-Mizer offers free training to customers who purchase a Silver, Gold, or Platinum mill service plan.
Mills with 500 hours or less must have the Silver Plan. Mills with between 500-2,000 hours must have the Gold Plan. Mills with greater than 2,000 hours must use the Platinum Plan. The free training is not offered at Field Days.
