A Perfect Match
Robert Craig's creativity and the flexibility of his Wood-
Mizer LT40 Super Hydraulic go hand-in-hand. Basically,
he dreams up the project and then puts his sawmill
through the paces. One morning, as he looked at his
backyard, he was inspired to build an arbor that would be
a quiet retreat.
"I had been milling wood for another project and
had a lot of small material that the owner wanted to
burn," explained Robert. Instead of becoming firewood,
Robert spent about four hours sawing 850 board feet of
cedar wood that ultimately became the outdoor space.
"The arbor is 12' x 12', post and beam construction
with great care given to a draw knife finish on each piece
of wood used," commented Robert. "It is a great joy to
experience over and again the arbor's beauty, structural
integrity, and aesthetic cohesiveness to the surroundings."
After four days of construction and a savings of
more than $3,500, Robert achieved his desire for a quiet
outdoor space. While sitting inside, he is surrounded by
the unique wood design that makes him wonder, "I do
not know how I would ever be without my Wood-Mizer." |
