Multi-purpose Shed Designed with "Weathered" Look in Mind
Tom Hackett and his customer were striving for an "old-looking" car port. The structure also needed to accommodate firewood storage, and had to have plenty of space for his wife to nurture her green thumb. With plenty of patience, everybody got what they wanted.
The rustic structure now stands at 280 square feet, with 3,000 board feet cut on the Wood-Mizer sawmill.
Tom used eastern white pine for the beams, roof boards, siding, and clap boards, using post and beam construction techniques.
A brick and stone inlay surrounds a welcoming arched front door. The three different sections of the roof give this small building a charm with multiple dimensions, for multiple uses. |
