Original Victorian Beauty
Donald Stephens and his wife spent nine months working weekends and holidays to turn wood sawn on their Wood-Mizer into railings, dental molding, posts and gingerbread trim. They created their own plan to bring their house back to its original Victorian look.
All spindles were turned on a lathe for both porch and arbor. Dental moldings were made on a radial arm saw and all curves were made by lamination of pine boards. Railings and posts were made by using a table saw.
Stephens said, "It was very satisfying to use my Wood-Mizer to mill lumber to complete this project. Without my Wood-Mizer, the cost would not have been within my budget at the time." |
