Little Lighthouse Destined
for Landscaping Project
Keith Oakes created and built this unusual project at the request of a landscaper in his "Own Woodworking Shop". A cedar log was found lying across a creek, and transported to Oakes' Wood-Mizer sawmill. There the log was cut into various sizes and lengths of lumber to produce materials for the lighthouse construction.
The finished size of the lighthouse is 36 inches by 36 inches by 100 inches high. Oakes used a half-scale plan for prospective measuring only.
The construction took 90 hours. When it was done, Oakes reported that the project was "challenging and satisfying." |
