For nine months, people had been signing up to win the anniversary sawmill Wood-Mizer was going to give away at their Grand Finale Event.
On Saturday, October 13, 2007, that day had finally arrived. After an exciting day of activities and an evening filled with food and entertainment, more than a thousand people stayed for the much anticipated drawing. As the co-founder, Don Laskowski, was called to the stage to draw the winner, he extended the honor to his wife Phyllis. The audience was in complete silence as they waited to hear the name...,Aaron Miller from Missouri. Quietly and reserved a young man stood at his chair and raised his hand as if he was in disbelief. He came forward, proved his identity, and was asked to share a few words about how it felt to win. In a trembling voice Aaron said, "This is an answer to prayer."
