David Sowersby - Arkansas
"When I was younger, my grandfather and I rabbit hunted on a farm that had a large round barn. I was always fascinated by its unusual shape. After retiring from the active duty Army in 2004 and while I was in Iraq/Afghanistan as a contractor, I drew up plans for this barn. On returning, I quickly figured out that I could build the barn, but costs for wood would be too expensive for my budget. I looked for some alternatives and with the extensive amount of timber on my property, I decided that purchasing a sawmill would be the most economical route... I did some internet research and found that Wood-Mizer saws seemed to be the best buy and after talking to another owner I contacted Wood-Mizer and ordered my saw. Not only did the sawmill save me a lot of money, but with no advertising, just through word of mouth, I quickly started to use my mill for extra income."
