Don't just take our word for it! Look at these responses we've received from LT40 owners!

"I have faith that this saw, LT40HDG25, will fill all my sawing needs for years to come. I am impressed by the founder's Christian example and obedience to Biblical concepts. May God continue to bless you and your organization." James A

"I have already sawed 30,000 ft of cherry on my LT40HDD, not counting the custom orders already finished. I love my mill and want to saw all the time. When I retire I plan to do custom sawing exclusively." Jeff C

"I am very pleased with my lt40HD.I'm building a house and I intend to build as much of it as I can with my Wood-Mizer. We have several other projects as well and with the cost of building materials being so high , I'm confident that it will pay for itself." Tim G

Salvaging Old Growth with a LT40 - Article

LT40 owner Dan Shade talks about his sawmill and experiences with Wood-Mizer.

Watch this video to get a complete look at how sawmilling is done! Peter Nyberg operates CT Logs to Lumber, providing custom milling services in Connecticut and Rhode Island. He narrates this video to show you how he saws his logs with his LT40 Hydraulic sawmill.

Kevin Tadych - Wisconsin
Kevin is an orthopedic surgeon in northern Wisconsin, and he found that people were not aware of his practice, due to the 'boring look' of his doctor's office. Determined not to let the exterior of his building reduce potential business, Kevin decided that he could buy a LT40 Hydraulic sawmill and mill the lumber himself, and still save money on the project. He decided on a post and beam interior and exterior remodel that would compliment the northern Wisconsin area. Kevin was able to cut lumber at specific dimensions required in the project that were unavailable anywhere else. He says "After one year of milling and construction, the building was finished on budget... The business received countless recognition in town, numerous compliments, and as a result, business has increased 20%." His feelings about the finished project? "Immense satisfaction in another of my ideas transformed from paper to physical at a fraction of the cost with my Wood-Mizer."
Project Details: 48'X64'; 10,000 bf of lumber was sawn on the mill; 98% of lumber needed for the project came from the mill; Kevin estimated that he saved $40,000.
Paul Herndon - Idaho
An accountant by trade, Paul had some trees fall down on his property during a windstorm, and thought he might be able to use the wood in the home he was planning to build. He used a chainsaw mill at first, and enjoyed milling lumber so much that he decided he needed to "really do it right" by getting a Wood-Mizer hydraulic sawmill. He put his accounting skills to use and "put together a spreadsheet showing what the mill would cost vs. what I would save on the project. The Wood-Mizer looked very favorable, so I bought one."
Paul has since built several other projects with his sawmill. "I would never get rid of my Wood-Mizer. A man who lives in Idaho with forest all around couldn't possibly live without one."
Gilbert Simmons - Indiana
Gilbert was hired to build this recreational lake cabin with his LT40 Hydraulic, and 85% of the completed cabin came entirely from wood milled on his sawmill and a 12" planer. The doors, logs, rafters, joists, stairs, flooring, siding, porch and shutters all came from poplar logs Gilbert milled for this project. He dove-tailed the corners and did the chinking himself with perma-chink. He estimates that he saved over $3,000 by using the LT40 to mill the logs himself.
"I really enjoyed building the cabin... They gave me an opportunity to express myself through some woodworking skills and my Wood-Mizer. I look forward to using my Wood-Mizer to build one for my family."
Making extra income by building recreational cabins is a dream of Gilbert's. Looks like he's well on his way to making that dream a reality!
Guido DeVisser - Alberta, Canada
LT40HD, DoubleHard & SilverTip Blades

Guido's timberframing business keeps him busy, building cabins, homes, and even ranch-style picnic tables for clients in Alberta. His creativity and passion for wood is evident in each of his projects, seven of which he submitted in the 2011 Personal Best contest. Here are photos of just a few of our favorites.
