Andy used extra cherry wood cut on his LT40 to build benches and a communion table for his church. "After seeing people coming forward and kneeling around the steps to pray, I remembered a church we attended had alter benches. I tried to build them by memory with my own design on the feet. I had no intentions of putting verses on them, until I read Jeremiah 29: 12 & 13."

Bill Fribley   •   New Castle, IN   •   LT20  •   100% of lumber cut on mill   •   $350 estimated saved

For the past two years, Bill and student volunteers have built fundraiser benches out of ash and cottonwood for a local FFA chapter. "Only one bench each year gets the added carving, and the officers and seniors all sign the bottom. It's great to have a way of contributing to the success of the many activities these fine leaders of tomorrow will take part in through the FFA program."

Jim Westfall   •   West Lafayette, IN   •   LT40  •   100% of lumber cut on mill   •   $6,000 estimated saved

"I felt bad for the women at the State Fair, their old building was falling down around them. It made all of us happy to see the smiles brought to the women who had to cook outside at the Pioneer Village."

Larry used his LT40 HD to saw more than 9,000 board feet of white pine and cedar to restore a building at a community owned park. "I've lived in the community my whole life and wanted to preserve Lumberjack Park for my grandchildren and great grandchildren. [I was] very happy to see the finished project after using lumber from down and dead trees within the park."

Moses & Betty Eicher   •   Harwood, MO   •   LT28  •   65% of lumber cut on mill   •   $150 estimated saved
Moses and Betty created a living space in an outbuilding for a family member that needed a place to live. "It is beautiful and exceeded our expectations. It was a dream of mine to do this, and my Wood-Mizer LT28 made it possible."

Ted Garrett  •   Bullock, NC   •   LT40 HD  •   100% of lumber cut on mill   •   Eastern Red Cedar
When asked by his sister, a brave cancer survivor, to donate something to her church’s Relay for Life team, Ted came up with the idea of making a six foot cedar porch swing. “It was a great feeling when it was finished.
