Over 100 years ago, Jim’s great grandfather built this bobsled. Jim remembers giving it a new paint job when he was 10 years old, and getting rides in the bobsled. Recently, Jim replaced much of the bobsled that was deteriorating, and restored it to ‘like new’ condition. Now the bobsled is being enjoyed by Jim’s grandkids!

Edward took at ’95 Dodge Dakota pickup, stripped off the bed and replaced it with black locust sides. He also replaced the bumpers the same way. He remarks, “The sawmill now has a stake truck and it’s a thing of beauty!” Connect online: www.woodlandssawmill.com

Dewey built this playhouse for his granddaughter’s 2nd birthday. He said that once it was finished and delivered, “Everyone wanted one for their children.”

Jim built this 8.5’x16’ camper on a 3.5 ton equipment trailer. The camper trailer includes a kitchen, bathroom, beds, and dining area. He remarks, “It turned out better than I ever imagined it would. Numerous people have asked me to build one for them. I truly enjoy doing business with Wood-Mizer, and do recommend you company to anyone.”

In memory of woodworker, toy maker, and Wood-Mizer owner Kenneth Houp, who passed away May 9, 2011. His son says, “My dad had wonderful ability with very little education.”

The LT28 allows Pete’s farm to utilize logs that would go to waste to be used at his farm for useful buildings and fences. “We hope to use the Wood-Mizer addition to our farm as a show piece on integrated resource management on how sustainable living and farming can work together.”

Virginia uses her LT40 and the Lathe-Mizer to build these sturdy tables. She uses various wood species. She says "I am now working on my 19th table and I have a true feeling of creativity."

A collaborative effort between Paul, a history center, and students brought about this reproduction of a 18th century Pennsylvania farm wagon for a museum. “This project couldn’t have happened without my Wood-Mizer. [The museum didn’t have] a budget for the massive pieces of lumber required.”
